Our sustainable hotel concept is authentic and not just a trend. Since the Auszeit Hotel Hamburg opened in 2013, sustainability has been one of the most important cornerstones of our corporate philosophy. Specifically, this means that we only offer plastic-free toiletries in our bathrooms, reduce packaging waste at breakfast to a minimum, source our food from the region, often in organic quality, and do not use chemicals when cleaning our rooms. If your room does not need to be cleaned daily, you are making a valuable contribution to the careful use of resources. Furthermore, fair treatment of our employees and support for social projects are important to us. We have been awarded Level 4 out of 5 by GreenSign and are proud to be doing our bit for climate protection and social justice. Of course, our commitment does not stop there: we are always striving to discover new opportunities and possibilities to become even better.

Your well-being and our environment are close to our hearts. That's why we use powerful and environmentally friendly technology from Medeco Cleantec, being their micro dry steam cleaners for room cleaning, without any chemicals. The result: deep-down cleanliness and maximum hygiene. Breathe easy, our environment does too.
Pleasure with attitude
We select our food carefully: organic where possible, fair trade, animal welfare-friendly. We support the principles of Slow Food Germany, which focuses on a responsible food system and biocultural diversity. We believe that this is the only way to achieve ‘real’ pleasure, responsibility and diversity every day.

We support the social project ‘Das Geld hängt an den Bäumen’ (Money grows on trees). It creates jobs for people who otherwise have little chance on the labour market – and harvests unused fruit or ‘forgotten resources’ from local orchards. This fruit is used to make delicious spritzers and juices, which you can find in trust bar or enjoy with your breakfast. Every sip contributes to greater togetherness.
